Art Market

Where Students Launch Their Work into the World

“Talking to people, meeting people, and falling into good conversations with people was really fun. Hearing how people reacted to my work and seeing what people bought and resonated was super interesting”.

— Ella

“A part of the reason I had fun at the market was because I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and spoke to all who would stop by my booth, it helps relax the situation, even if they did not buy something I got the chance improve my social skills”.

— Jay

“I learned how to price my art for the first time, how to manufacture goods (and which manufacturers are best for what, how to set up my files, and how long it actually takes), and information for the future on what types of things sell well for me personally”.

FAQ

  • It is free to participate if you are accepted into the curated event.

  • You will be required to attend two virtual workshops that are each an hour long and fill out a reflection survey which will take about 20 minutes.

You will have 3 hours before the event to set up and you will have 2 hours to tear down after the event so expect to spend the full day doing the art market.

  • Evaluation Criteria

    1. Variety / Uniqueness - we want to make sure the art market overall has variety so think about how you can stand out from your peers in what you offer

    2. Quantity - you are able to fill a 3' x 3' table and create an exciting table display

    3. Quality - You've thought through the whole process, from what you plan to sell, how to display your merchandise, and how you will present yourself etc

    4. Customer-centric - You have the audience in mind, you are thinking about their experience and what would interest them

    5. Growth Mindset - You have awareness for where you want to grow and what you want to learn

  • We will provide a 6’ table which you will share with one other person. We will provide a tablecloth and a chair. You are responsible for any other display equipment.

  • You may only sell things that you own the full rights to, which means that fan art is not allowed.

We have the right to refuse any works that are offensive, overly sexual, or hurtful to others.

  • This is an important personal and professional question which we can provide you

guidance for but which you must ultimately answer for yourself. Start by figuring out how much each piece costs to make and what profit you want to make per unit. Do research and consult your colleagues regarding the suggested value of your work.

  • No, this is an ideal opportunity for first time vendors because you’ll be supported every step of the way.

  • Check out the Art Market Application Guide from 2025 to get an idea for what we’ll be asking. Some of the questions might change for the 2026 Art Market.
